| Susan Sexton is a public school speech an language pathologist in Lapeer, Michigan. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Western Michigan University, and her Master of Arts degree from Eastern Michigan University. She has been employed in Lapeer County, Michigan for 30 years, servicing regular and special education students with speech and language needs, and is currently an employee of the North Branch Area Schools. |
| Susan developed 5 minute Kids in 2002, and currently uses that model. This program was developed to improve services to articulation students, and to maximize their time in the general education setting. Documented progress demonstrates that this model is as effective as traditional articulation group therapy. |
| Susan has presented her program to several school districts in Michigan, at the Michigan Speech and Hearing Association conference, the Metro Denver conference in Colorado, and the Kentucky Speech and Hearing Association convention. Her 5 Minute Kids program is used in many school districts in Michigan, as well as in 48 other states and in Canada. |
